Plain-language draft. Have it reviewed by qualified counsel before you rely on it for your business.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, buying a plan or using rakshak24 (the “service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. The service is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and resident in India to buy a plan. Products must be in good working order and free of pre-existing faults when registered.
3. What we offer
Three services: ServiceHub (after-sales service on behalf of brands), Protect (extended warranty) and Care (annual maintenance) for gadgets, appliances and furniture. The cover, term, product category and limits that apply to you are set out in the certificate issued at checkout, which forms part of these terms.
4. What is not covered
- Pre-existing damage or faults present before registration
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect function
- Loss or theft, unless a specific add-on is purchased
- Damage from misuse, unauthorised repair or modification
- Consumables and accessories, unless expressly stated
5. Claims
Raise claims through the service. We may ask for photos, the purchase invoice and the product for inspection. Approved claims are serviced by pickup and repair with genuine parts, or reimbursed up to the limit in your certificate.
6. Payments, pricing and GST
Prices are in Indian Rupees, inclusive of applicable GST (CGST/SGST intra-state, IGST inter-state) based on your place of supply. A GST-compliant invoice is issued for every purchase. Payments are handled by our payment partner; we do not store card details.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel within the cooling-off period stated in your certificate for a pro-rata refund, provided no claim has been made. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
8. Obligor partners
Some plans are underwritten or fulfilled by third-party obligors. Where that applies it is named in your certificate; rakshak24 administers the plan and your claims.
9. Liability
To the extent the law permits, our total liability for any claim is limited to the cover amount in your certificate. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the application, and continued use after they take effect is acceptance.
11. Governing law
Indian law governs these terms, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to consumer-protection law that says otherwise.
